DAY 3
THE SILE RIVER

Take a break to taste some local wine and typical “cicchetti” from the area.

DAY 4
PADUA AND THE “NAVIGLI”
Long time ago Padua was a city crossed by many waterways. In particular, the internal canal (“naviglio”) was used by boats and watercrafts to transport goods and passengers. Starting at the end of 1960, the canals were no longer carrying merchandise but used for recreational purposes: the most suggestive and navigable routes are today cruised by thousands of tourists and as a pastime for local citizens. We will give you more details about the history and use of these waterways in our bike ride along the canals, taking a break here and there to taste local wine and food.

DAY 5
FROM THE HILLS TO THE SEA: THE PIAVE RIVER
Bike ride discovering astounding sceneries. Jesolo is a town located north of Venice on the Adriatic coast and surrounded by water. Its privileged position makes it really accessible for bikes to explore the surroundings along the waterways. Conveniently located not far from its city center are the mouths of the Sile River and Piave River, as well as the Venetian Lagoon and the Adriatic Sea. In this itinerary we will bring you at the banks of the Piave River, a really suggestive and peaceful area immersed in nature. You will find yourself admiring impressive blue landscapes, a mix of water and sky. Birdwatching lovers will keep stopping to observe the birds living by the lagoon: the salty water attracts hundreds of herons, little egrets, seagulls, coots and dozens of different bird’s species.
